Worst Movies of all time

I will start us off.

Ishtar- It was just a mess and still trying to figure out of the point of the movie since the late 80's when the movie came out. Dustin Hoffman could not even make it work.

Dukes of Hazzard- It was not anything like the tv show! Well the characters were there but it was just another mess as well. I don't really remember if Uncle Jesse was in the movie or not come to think of it because I did not even watch past the opening scene. That should tell a person something about how I felt about this particular movie.

So what movie do you dislike with a passion and at least one reason why?

can"t really say.....I don't watch crap movies :p

SiteWolf 08 Apr 2017 11:42 PM

one doesn't always know the movie is crap until one watches it

Dumb and Dumberer had to be the biggest waste of film ever conceived.
Obviously you'd expect the premise to be, well, dumb....but that movie gave dumb a bad name

i don't like 'musicals', with a couple of exceptions!

Lalaland...puhleeeze.....great originality...but yuck!

Sing..... great show....but animation makes the diff for me.'

Rocky horror.... hmmmm..... liked the soundtrack....hated the movie.

li'l shop of horrors...again, an exception....

and then just plain bad would be Blair witch project.

recent not necessarily bad, but 'I don't get why it was viewed as great' kinda movies

Lion- great story, IMO poorly presented
Founder- ok, was Ray Kroc really the --- Keaton portrayed him as?

On the opposite end, I thought Guardians of the Galaxy 2 would just be kids entertainment, but the kid in me thoroughly enjoyed it.

Sometime this weekend I likely find out if the 'last' Pirates of the Caribbean is as good as advertised.

Recently saw "Going in style".....loved it.

SiteWolf 27 May 2017 01:01 PM

I assume you mean the 2017 version with Morgan Freeman..........tho for all I know the 1969 version had him in it, too...seems to be a rule in Hollywood that he have a part in most movies.

Among the negatives of living where I do now, we have 1 3 screen movie theatre in town and that's it. I'd have to drive 2-3 hours for more options. Because of that there are very good movies that I have no chance to see before they're out on DVD.

Yes new version. I have only been to 2 movies in the last 20 years. I refuse to support disgraceful hollywood with my hard earned $$$$

not true!! I haven't been to a movie in years.

i'll share...https://kodi.tv/download

*Kodi (formerly XBMC) is a free and open source media player application developed by the XBMC/Kodi Foundation, a non-profit technology consortium. Kodi is available for multiple operating-systems and hardware platforms, featuring a 10-foot user interface for use with televisions and remote controls. It allows users to play and view most videos, music, podcasts, and other digital media files from local and network storage media and the internet.

i haven't been since they outlawed smoking :/
which, imo is fine.... it had to go.

but, i smoke!! so i watch all in the comfort of home....and I refuse to pay the kind of money they want at a theatre....just to get in!! never mind a snack :o

price needs to come down a whole bunch to entice me out.

torrenting had its day....but streaming (Kodi and such) is the now :)

We stopped going to movies when they made you choose your seats when you buy your tickets.

We prefer to choose our seats upon entering the theater.

 I'm playing out drastic scenarios in my head......

I definitely need to think about alternatives.

First, I won't put it in a worst movie category, but I opted to go to the very first showing of Valerian. It was put out there as a presumed blockbuster but I tempered my expectations. It was also put out there like a cross between Star Wars and Avatar, which I suppose it was. I'm not sure what I expected, but that wasn't it. It had its entertainment value and its enjoyable CGI, but I'm still not exactly sure what it was supposed to be.

Now, Atomic Blonde comes out, and I don't even have the option at our local theater- only 3 screens with the tendency to stick to blockbusters and family films...tho I could see Dunkirk or The Dark Tower...or The Emoji Movie (seriously?!)
