fantasy advice

Anyone savvy baseballers out there want to give me some advice. The following is what I have remaining on my roster. By the end of Feb., I need to have it trimmed down to 16 players. Where on earth would you cut someone. Also i just traded to get cordero and beltran, so would rather not get rid of them. A-rod is just impossible to replace with the stats he puts up, so he is not really an option either. See what any of you might think, and shoot me some advice. Thanks in advance.

i am figuring that wood is going to be gone, but the fact that i hear his name mentioned as the cubs closer next season makes me think twice. I could see dropping shields also. He may well have over achieved for me last year and the time might be right to get him gone. But longoria is considered to be one of the top prospects in the minors, i just dont see getting rid of him.

upton is an interesting one. i played him at 3b last year, because he qualified there from the year before. this year though, even though he should be an outfielder, he will qualify as a second baseman which woud essentially allow me to have an extra outfielder on the team.

I am in a 20 team keeper league. it took me 7years to get to this lineup. finished in 5th place this past year, and have a real strong nucleus in place to make a run at the top. it was hard getting here, but will be harder staying here trying to find the diamonds in the rough each and every season.

U need to shore up your Pitch staff. Trade or drop above players then I would trade ARod for a few QUALITY Starting pitchers and I like Orlando Hudson coming back healthy. Arod had a phenom year but it was also his contract year. Now with all the dough he will cruise. He has not much protection. Miguel Cabrera means stock for a Sheffield, Irod, Guillen (U have already) go up big time. Where is your catcher? Trade for Posada or pick up and Irod. You have a very good nucleus. Just trim some fat and add a few rocks to stabilize your troops. Even if you have to trade 1 stud for 3-4 very good players it is worth it. Let them overvalue the overrated.

arod bias aside, how can i replace the 100+runs, 40+hr, 100+rbi's,20+stolen bases. plus on top of that, the problem is this. what can/do i get for him. someone would likely say i will trade you prospects. that sounds good in theory, but in reality i already have to lose 4 of the players listed. the next thing is if there is a stud pitcher or even position player out there, that would be somewhat equal quality, why would they trade to get the salary that i have on arod. for instance the owner of johan santana, no matter how bad he wants arod isn't going to trade me johan when he has a salary of .65 to arods 2.55.

troy, how can you feel longoria is a drop. he is one of the hottest prospects in the minors and quiet likely the starting 3b for tampa bay by june at the latest.

kerry wood is a likely drop canidate, but the possibility that he will be named the cubs closer and that i have him for .10 in 2008 is hard to overlook. even giving him a .10 raise every year, i have him for 10 more seasons before he hits 1.00.

i actually made a trade offer of marcum, shields, and cabrera for either dan haren or justin verlander. we will see if either of those pan out.
