The Bridgestone Invitational is taking place at the par 70 Firestone Country Club South Course in Akron Ohio. Its one of the big money non-major tourneys sponsored by the World Golf Championship. Tiger has won this tournament the past 3 years, but of course isnt around to defend it this year. The winner takes home $1,350,000.

The Reno-Tahoe Open is taking place at the par 72 Montreux Golf and Country Club which is between the 2 locations that make up the name of the event. The big news of this tournament is that Michelle Wie has a chance to not sign her scorecard or do something stupid along those lines in a mens event (and if she does and it upsets her, Im right here to comfort her ;) ). The defending champ is FLEST (playing in the WGC so wont be defending here), and the winner takes home $540,000.
