I would like to look at the ones I mentioned and others as well if there are any. One of things I have noticed is that minutes are down among rookie players. I would say this is probably part of this is the season started about seven weeks latter than it normally does and is supposed to end only a week or two latter than a typical season.

These are based on per game averages.

Kylie Irving Cle Min 27.0 Pts 13.3 Reb 4.0 Ast 5.5
Ricky Rubio Min Min 27.0 Pts 8.8 Reb 3.8 Ast 6.4
Jimmer Fredette Sac Min 24.2 Pts 8.8 Reb 1.0 Ast 2.8

My observations are Jimmer no way and the other two are just o.k..

Then there are the others I did not mention earlier.

MarShon Brooks NJ Min 21.5 Pts 13.7 Reb 3.7 Ast 0.8
Norris Cole Mia Min 22.8 Pts 11.7 Reb 1.7 Ast 3.2
Kemba Walker Cha Min 20.5 Pts 11.5 Reb 3.0 Ast 3.5
Brandon Knight Det Min 22.8 Pts 11.2 Reb 1.8 Ast 3.0

My observations about these players are well o.k. but not outstanding we so must have any of them really. How disappointing. And there are several reasons why this my be the case. There was very little time for these players and all of them are rookies to get adjusted to life in the NBA. They only had a few weeks to prepare. So I guess we should just hold off a while longer and let this all play out a bit more. And one observation about Norris Cole. He had one really good game where he scored 20 pts and the rest of the games he scored 12 pts or less.

And still even more players. They are in the top 25 in points per game that we do not have.

Marcus Thorton Sac Min 36.8 Pts. 20.0 Reb 4.2 Ast 1.8
Ryan Anderson Orl Min Min 31.7 Pts 19.2 Reb 6.2 Ast 1.0

I will give career averages for these two players as well. To me that just adds a bit in terms of their playing ability.

Marcus Thorton Sac Min 25.4 Pts 13.8 Reb 3.2 Ast 1.7
Ryan Anderson Orl Min Min 19.2 Pts 8.9 Reb 4.5 Ast 0.7

I would say start with these two players and just hold off a while longer on the rookies above. They will eventually be getting more playing time as the season progresses well not if they play three nights in a row as an example.
