The slam dunk contest needs to go first.
I liked the 200 point plateau reached... but they do need incentive on having some level of a mid-range game which will promote defense. My ideas....
In the last 2 minutes of a quarter: 35'+ 3s be worth 4 points, free throws be worth 2 points, and mid/long-range 2pt shots (11' - inside the 3pt line) be worth 5 points. This way they would at least play some level of "old-school" ball.
Then, if a player hits consecutive 3s and no other teammate hit one between makes, each second 3 is worth 1.5 points.
Steals and blocks worth 0.5 point.
