Wanna feel old? Sten is 40 today
Most of you here won't know who I'm talking about, but old WSSers mostly do. Sten was a teenager from Estonia when I first conversed with him. He loved American sports yet was rarely able to actually see any in his country (former Soviet Republic across the Baltic Sea from Finland...in fact the city he's in is actually closer to Helsinki than it is the southern half of his own country). Sten basically learned English surfing the internet for sports. He grew up with his dad owning a bar/restaurant and has been a bar/restaurant owner himself most of his adult life. He was always well thought of at WSS, but by the time of JS simply had little time anymore. I used to still chat with him occasionally but it's been years now.
It is Sten's 40th birthday today, as if I didn't feel old enough signing up for Medicare the other night.
