We get IPO's of NFL players before they have ever taken a snap in the NFL, so I don't see what the big deal is.

Sorry I spelled Paddack wrong. Anyone that watches baseball has been waiting for Vlad and Eloy to be called up for a long time. It's not like these guys don't have any prospect pedigree. They sure have more potential than the guys who were just added. If you look online, alot of scouts give Vlad an 80 grade hit tool. I'm pretty sure Vlad is going to be just fine even though it's been 19 games.
I wasn't meaning to come off snooty, just stating the fact that I can use help in coming up with IPO lists.

I will say this- I do treat football a little different simply because there are so few games. QBs and kickers, especially, may get added far quicker than I'd normally prefer. Baseball has 162 games in the year, so I tend to want more games under a player's belt before IPOing.

One of my concerns in IPOing someone is whether they've played enough to give me an idea of logical projections. For example, had I IPOd Vlad after just a few games I would have been wondering how to project his HR total....he didn't hit his first one until, what, game 12 up here...then hit 2, and now 2 since. So, now he has 4 in 20 games...which would extend out to over 30 for 162 games...too high.

For the record, I believe I waited about 15 games to IPO LeBron, which is about the equivalent of 30 for a MLBer.

Also, when I put together lists before a season, I'm watching fantasy rankings. Vlad was way up there, but didn't start the season in the bigs. However, when I put lists together during a season, I tend to look at who's high in HRs, RBIs, SBs, etc....giving them priority over someone that may not have played enough to be high on those lists.
