they had only two choices trade the pick or take calvin and trade him later on. i still think he'll be traded to tampa for adams and later picks

Felt bad to see Cleveland pass, and ESPN has the shot of him as a kid in a Browns shirt on the screen.

11 through 15 having good young QBs, he could fall much further now.

Dude is looking seriously bummed.

At least he'll end up on a team with a brighter future in the short term.

carolina, pittsburgh, and greenbay. one of those teams have to take him. favre can't play for ever, carolina has no back-up, and pittsburgh "franchise" qb appears to have lost it. they can't pass.

Carolina has David Carr
Pissburgh has big ben who else do they need? They got one for the thumb with him.
Green Bay has Rodgers... Why waste a pick this year on Quinn when you really don't know what Rodgers is all about...

i might be persuaded to accept gb passing given the unknown in rodgers but as for the other two, i repeat

WIth carriker going to STL.... I can't see Quinn being drafted for awhile...

with 2 picks in the 2nd round for Miami I can see them trading some picks to get ahold of Quinn late in the 1st round.

you know lost in all this is the fact that the heisman winner (best player in ncaa football my ---) isn't even mentioned in the first two rounds. as bad as quinn must feel right now at least he can take solace knowing he'll get drafted today.

95% of the guys drafted aren't even considered for the heisman... So what does it matter?

nothing more than validation for those of us who weren't swayed by espn's love for specific conferences.

well that and the fact that all we heard all year was how great he is and as evidence by the award supposedly the best in football. tell me how can the best player there is not even be considered a worthy second round pick? then tell me in the past 20+ yrs how many heisman trophy winners 1) weren't invited to the draft and 2) weren't selected in the first round or for that matter even mentioned?

i know you're a fan and as a result biased but nick this proves beyond any doubt how bogus the award and the accollades were. i tried to tell you and offered you overwhelming support for my position. but this by far does a better job at proving my point than anything i could have offered.
