BMW Championship
Traditionally this was known as the Western Open, which has been played since 1899(!). Recently it was based out of Cog Hill near Chicago, but this year it is being played at the par 71 Bellerive Country Club in St. Louis, and will be rotated between Cog Hill, Bellerive, and Carmel near Indy for the forseeable future.
The top 70 in the FedEx points standings make it to this tournament, and there is no weekend cut, just as a head's up to those who buy and hold. The top of the leaderboard wont be the only thing to look at though, as everyone will be trying to get into the top 30 to get into next week's PGA Championship. The defending champ is Tiger, who finished the tourney last year at an amazing (and tourney record) -22, and this years winner earns a $1,260,000 paycheck. Allenby, Robert Ames, Stephen Appleby, Stuart Austin, Woody Baddeley, Aaron Baird, Briny Bryant, Bart Byrd, Jonathon Campbell, Chad Choi, K.J. Cink, Stewart Clark, Tim Crane, Ben Curtis, Ben Els, Ernie Furyk, Jim Garcia, Sergio Glover, Lucas Harrington, Padraig Herron, Tim Hoffman, Charley Holmes, J.B. Imada, Ryuji Immelman, Trevor Kelly, Jerry Kim, Anthony Leonard, Justin Mahan, Hunter Mayfair, Billy Mickelson, Phil Ogilvy, Geoff Perry, Kenny Pettersson, Carl Reavie, Chez Romero, Andres Sabbatini, Rory Scott, Adam Senden, John Singh, Vijay Slocum, Heath Snedeker, Brandt Stricker, Steve Sutherland, Kevin Trahan, D.J. Verplank, Scott Villegas, Camilo Wagner, Johnson Watson, Bubba Weekley, Boo Weir, Mike Wilson, Dean

Thank you -mmm-.
No Tiger yet again. The last time that happened was just about seven years ago. Not even Tiger could get a plane ride home. I think he drove back home in a rental car.

Thanks Mark. BTW....I BELIEVE SINGH is taking this week off. He has tendonitis in his left forearm and has enough points to make the show. I do not hink anyone in this field will approach Tiger's winning score last year at Cog HIll either.
