Business as usual, imo.
The politicians and bureaucrats see rebelling amongst the working class and need "reasons" to criminalize more of them.
Unfortunately, they don't realize that they don't have enough space, even now, to house all the criminals in this country.
So now the really "dangerous terrorists" will be locked up in our prisons, without a trial, and we can let the pedophiles, rapists and murderers free - those that have received a trial and were indeed found guilty of those crimes. Makes complete sense. [/sarcasm]
I doubt anyone in Washington D.C. even knows what the word liberty means because they certainly don't care about it.
