Default Keyshawn to Retire

.
Quote:
Looks like Keyshawn Johnson has decided to hang them up.

Link: http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/s...e=NFLHeadlines

Clipped from the ESPN story:

Keyshawn Johnson has declined an offer from the Tennessee Titans and has decided
to retire. The wide receiver is expected to announce his decision at a Wednesday
afternoon news conference.

Sources told ESPN.com's Michael Smith that Johnson will pursue a career in
television.

Johnson, who turns 35 in July, was released by the Carolina Panthers earlier this
month after the Panthers drafted Southern California wideout Dwayne Jarrett. He
had 70 catches for 815 yards and four touchdowns for Carolina in 2006.

Johnson, the No. 1 pick in the 1996 NFL draft, has started 162 of 167 games in his
11 NFL seasons that spans stints with Carolina, Dallas, Tampa Bay and the New York
Jets. He has 814 career receptions.

He worked as an analyst on ESPN's televised coverage of the the NFL draft last
month.

Please tell me that I don't have to watch meshawn and meirvin at the same time?

ESPN will probably keep the two of them together and either Steve Young or Tom Jackson will have to go.

I think that the friendship between Tom Jackson and Chris Berman will mean that Steve Young has to go.

Why is it that former wide receivers are the most annoying broadcasters of football? But neither meshawn and meirvin don't even come close to Chris Collinsworth when it comes to being annoying.

Maybe I will tell you how I really feel later on.

when irvin is on the dan patrick show, i find him to very funny at times. sheesh, a redskins fan actually saying something good about him. and, yes, monk shoulda got in the HOF before him.

for me, berman's non-funny puns are getting old, or rather are old and tiresome. i think he needs to go. i tend to not even watch a show if he is on it.

happy and safe weekend to all

Berman started when ESPN started and is one of the reasons the station grew into the force it has become.....he's going nowhere.
