Chevy Rock & Roll 400 - photos from Richmond
We couldn't have had a better DAY to watch a race in Richmond last Sunday. Although I've been to over a dozen NASCAR Cup races in Richmond, this was my first day race there. The other occasions when we were rained out on a Saturday evening, I watched the race from home the next day. We had a contingency plan this time, however, and got to enjoy a beautiful sunny day in Richmond with 120k of our closest friends. I took over 700 pictures, and have edited and uploaded some to the galleries below.
Chevy Rock & Roll 400 Matt Kenseth pit stop sequence (for my BIL - a huge Kenseth fan) I've got a few more hundred pictures to go through before I'm done with the first gallery, so I'll be updating it over the next few days as time permits. |

Nikon D40 SLR, 55-200mm VR lense. Most of the pictures were taken from my seat, in row 30, section A (front straightaway, very near the SF line). The first couple of dozen photos were taken from just above track level, where everyone is trolling around and the cops insist you keep moving along.
I just added another 25-30 pictures to the main gallery - got some good shots of Kenseth's wrecked car, and his pit crew's attempt at repairs. |

I use canon digital rebel. getting a little older now, only the 8.1 megapixel. I have a 70mm-300mm zoom lens I use for our sporting events.
