Default NBA Draft Big Winners!

The Cavs may not have won much during the season, but they just stole the show, at the draft, when they walked away with both the #1 and #4 picks. Maybe this is karma?

no, it was Nick Gilbert

yeah, pretty odd that they had BOTH of their picks beat the odds.....the #1 'shoulda' been #2...the #4 'shoulda' been #6

........and the Wolves can't even win a ping pong contest

Now, that said...the Cavs would be BIGGER winners...if this were a stronger draft. However, with 3 solid PG prospects in Irving, Knight, and Walker, they could strategically take their favorite of Derrick Williams or that Turkish center #1, knowing at least one of the 3 PGs would be there at 4....or...take their choice of the PGs at 1 (more likely) knowing that 1 of Williams or Kanter will be there at 4...or that kid from San Diego State

U may be better off getting Derek Williams from AZ. He is a dominant big guy. Him and Love will own paint. Reminds me of when I saw Durant not go #1. That was a shame. Durant may be the best player I saw come out in a decade or more. Sooo fun to watch. Silky smooth. Long and lean with a great jumper. Westbrook could be a Derek Rose if not for Durant. I love my boy Harden from ASU. Love the beard.

Nick Gilbert? He was sent to represent the Cavs as "good luck".

I agree, it's not a "strong draft", but they could probably try to package a trade and try to bring someone like Chris Paul or Dwight Howard to Cleveland. Do I think it's possible? Probably not, but it at least gives them some pieces to work with.

I don't see Cleveland doing anything but using those picks...they're not looking at making a playoff run next year, they're looking at building a team for several playoff runs

Smart move would be take D Will and get a dominant forward who can be you stud then take Knight or Walker at #4. Guarantees 2 needs and giant pieces in rebuilding. If you take Irving then you may have guards available or take a big Euro at #4. Minny wants to trade for vets. Maybe swap w CLE 2 to 4 and CLE can get both Irving and Will. WOW!
