Fantasy football
I know it is early to be thinking of football, but I am. My question to all of you fantasy gurus out there is as follows. We are going to be doing a keeper league with an auction. What sites might any of you used for keeper leagues, and how were you able to conduct your auction/drafts. What we are looking for at this point is to find a site that allows us to do an on-line auction and set up as many of our own rules or scoring categories as possible. Price is relevant, but secondary to having a strong quality site. Any and all help is greatly appreciated, so thanks in advance to any and all who reply.

I have been in private leagues that have been run thru CBS for baseball. They have worked out quite well. I would imagine football would be as good. Not sure if they have anything free for you to check out but closer to the season you'll find out. I believe it was 125 for the service. live stats and all the bells and whistles.
I know you asked about football but just wanted to get you started on atleast 1 site.

Football Auction Draft Site?
While looking for a baseball draft site earlier this year I came upon this site: FantasyAuctioneer.com . They were also supposed to do football this year. Rotowire uses them for their auction style drafts, but you can use their auction engine for only about $24 dollars for the entire league. They just let you use their site for the auction, you have to have another site for the regular maintainance of the league, such as Yahoo, CBS, Fox, etc. You do the draft and then you import the results into the regular site. They were working on an automatic transfer but I don't know if they got that far.
I did a mock draft in baseball and it worked out pretty well. It was smooth and a lot of fun. If you have questions you can e-mail the designer, he wrote back the same day and answered all my questions in detail. Let me know if you are going to set it up, I would be interested in joining. |
