Players Expect Fines For Wearing 9/11 Tribute Gear
Story here.
What is with the NFL? If they don't come up with the idea, no matter how appropriate or innocent it may be, the NFL doesn't like it and will penalize you for it. The NFL has gotten too big for it's britches, imo. |

Nah, latest news on sports radio is that they probably won't fine them says a NFL source.

All they'd have to do normally is request league permission before adding something to their uniform. In any league, that's required- no permission usually equals a fine. Without that, guys put handmade crap on their uniforms that look awful...
You'd think, however, the league would have realized that hey, the first Sunday of the season is also the 10th anniversary of 9/11. Perhaps we should do something.
