Unique golf situation raises question
Our norm is to divi a round of golf the morning after it's completed.
Our norm is also to not consider a FINAL round of golf completed unless money is disbursed. This week's tournament has been played in a time zone 13 hours ahead of us...so results for the next round have been known before divis for the previous round have been given out. The problem? The final round resulted in a tie and a playoff. That playoff happens Sunday evening in the US. Our norm is that a Monday playoff results in all golfers getting their divis Tuesday morning. THIS time, however, we may know full results including money before we go to bed tonight. My inclination would still be to release final round divis TUESDAY morning. Agree or disagree? I mean, we don't currently know how late tonight money is available...and officially, the playoff is on Monday.

IMHO with all others being finished (this is normally an issue because the final round is not finished - but in this case it is) divi's could easily be given tomorrow morning.ESPN (the only reason I go there anymore) will have the $$$$$ posted sometime in the middle of the night and avail to all when they wake up.

are they playing a normal playoff? or 18 holes
in looking, actually the playoff starts at 6:30pm eastern it appears...so if a normal playoff, you're right...money would be available plenty early (and re buys certain assumptions made before that)

18 hole playoffs are ONLY for the US Open as I recall.

ESPN recap indicates a sudden death format for the playoff.
"Woodland and Moore finished tied for the lead at 14-under 274 after the final round on Sunday, a stroke ahead of Kiradech Aphibarnrat and Chris Stroud at 13 under. The sudden-death playoff was postponed until Monday morning due to darkness." I would wrap it up and pay out the divis Monday morning.

that link is to LAST year's money payout for those wanting to speculate...but yeah, I guess there's no reason to NOT give full divis in the morning...
