Default Nobody will see it down here right? Version 6.0

Wow I have been preparing for the new season for six years now.

Well back in the day of the old forums there was not really a place to put this except in the main part of the forums and the first time I did this people did not like all of the people I was suggesting should get an ipo for the upcoming season. So I put it down lower in the forums so I would not cause such a stir the next season. Just wanted people to know why is it called that each year.

These are just suggestions I usually do this because of my great anticipation for the season to finally start. This season may be a little different with the Baseball Classic. Very competitive and in my opinion to competitive. There are a few injuries that come from this thing. Well a person could say that people are going to get injured that are not in the baseball classic which is true. But I just don't like it with a passion. So I try to come up with an excuse for why I think the baseball classic should not be played in the first place.

Well enough with my rambling here comes the players we may need to ipo for the upcoming season. I will never say we don't need any of these guys ever again hopefully. I even said this about Evan Longoria before the start of last season. Stupid me.

Catchers
Chris Iannetta Colorado
Matt Weiters Baltimore He is already being compared to a certain catcher in a Minnesota and Matt has even better power. That guy is really good if I am remembering correctly. Plus Matt is being compared to a former #1 pick. I wonder if the Twins ever wished they would have picked Mark Prior #1 instead of Joe Mauer. Joe Mauer is just going to end up as a Yankee eventually. Why would the Orioles want to start someone like this in the minor leagues?
Jeff Clement Seattle Will he really take significant at bats away from Kenji Johjima?
John Baker Florida
Taylor Teagarden or Jarrod Saltalamacchia Texas don't try to spell that on your own. Whomever is the starting catcher coming out of spring training should get the ipo of course.
Kelly Shoppach Cleveland
Gerald Laird Detroit
Chris Snyder or Miguel Montero Arizona Whomever wins the starting job.

Other catchers to consider.
Miguel Olivo Kansas City
T.R. Towles Houston
Jesus Flores Washington
Nick Hundley San Diego

We sure do need a lot of catchers.

Hopefully we will not need as many 1b.

Chris Davis Texas
Pablo Sandoval San Francisco Did not know where to put him. A utility guy that can play every infield position except for second base.

Others to consider
Kendry Morales The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim will need a 1b right?
Daric Barton Oakland
Gabby Sanchez Florida
Oscar Salazar or Luis Montanez Baltimore
Joe Koshansky Colorado

Closers

Will Jonathan Broxton be the closer for the Dodgers???
Carlos Marmol Chicago Cubs
Frank Francisco or C.J. Wilson Texas. Whomever the closer is?
Will Chad Qualls be the closer for Arizona Diamondbacks???
Heath Bell San Diego
Mike Gonzalez Atlanta
Joel Hanrahan Washington
Chris Perez or Jason Mott Saint Louis Whomever the closer will be. I would say Chris Perez but that is what spring training is for.
Matt Lindstrom Florida
Brad Ziegler or Joey Devine Oakland Whomever the closer is.
Will George Sherrill be the closer for Baltimore???
Manuel Corpos Colorado. I would say that Hudson Street would be the closer but these two are at least competing for the closer role at the beginning of spring training games.

Others
Jose Ceda Florida

Talk about a lot of questions.

Outfielders part 1

Elijah Dukes Washington
Adam Lind Toronto

Edit: Going to keep all of the outfielders together.

Outfielders part 2
Nelson Cruz Texas

Outfielders part 3
Chase Headley San Diego

Outfielder part 4
Travis Synder Toronto
Franklin Gutierrez Seattle

Now the real fun comes. Trying to put a comprehensive list divided into two different sections.

Guys with major league experience and those that have very little or not major league experience at all.

Then there is David Price.

I have to make this start easier to read.

Breaking this down into several sections this year.

Players who have played a lot of games in the majors.

Players who have not played a lot of games in the majors.

Several situations that have still yet to be worked out yet.

Never would want to predict who will be playing early next month by spring training numbers.

Batters with some experience that have never hit more than nine home runs in a season.

I just felt the need to separate the experienced batters this year. I just feel we should not have players that have not hit at least nine home runs in a season to at least start the season.

Jeff Clement Seattle
John Baker Florida
Jesus Flores Washington
Nick Hundley San Diego
Pablo Sandoval San Francisco
Akinori Iwamura Tampa Bay
Asdrubal Cabrera Cleveland
Skip Schumaker Saint Louis
