Default Jackass of the day

You know some folks need to learn to stop while they're ahead. Below is a quote from everyone's favorite biggot newt gingrich given in a speech to the National Federation of Republican Women (almost as funny as log cabin republicans but that's another thread i suppose).

Now while he may be accurate about how many white americans feel about english being a national language, why the need to equate any other language with the ghetto? It's almost as classic as his comments earlier this month that worshippers of faiths other than Christianity are wicked and destined for eternal damnation. Perhaps someone should remind him about opening his mouth and removing doubt.....

Quote:
""The American people believe English should be the official language of the government. ... We should replace bilingual education with immersion in English so people learn the common language of the country and they learn the language of prosperity, not the language of living in a ghetto,"
