musixman:

First of all, welcome back

Second of all, here's Market 2 in a nutshell:

[1] No more "buymax" button. Now, all you have to do is click on the player's row to "buymax" the player. Clicking the the player's name, however, will still take you to their player profile.
[2] Changing ports and highlighting have both been added. Each stock owned [per portfolio] will highlight on the market page. Total Value is gray, monthly is red, quarterly is yellow and yearly is blue. You no longer have to reload the page when wanting to change your portfolio. This was much more useful previous to stock highlighting, but is still very useful.

Hope that helps.

Nick

Even though it is pretty much filled up could we put a link somewhere on the homepage. I say this because it is a little annoying like me to have to go to the forums in order to buy someone using the market two page. I did not even know what it was until just a few days ago.

Btw, Thank you for this great addition.

A lot of cool additions to the game although we lost Emmitts temporarily. We hope to move forward in a positive manner and are glad to have you back.

that's one thing I've never liked about that layout- it's not easy to add a simple link at times like this.....about the best we could do is either 1.) add a text link at the bottom of the template or 2.) add whatever link at the top of either/both the port and market page......I'll talk to Nick about it.

btw...it's possible (haven't thought it completely thru yet) that there won't BE 2 market pages ongoing.....we've talked of a combination of market and market2 being THE market page......tho I'll be honest that I've also thought about having market2 eventually become part of a subscription package.

the question being....how many would PAY a subscription of even, say, $3/mo or $30/yr.........and yes, I know that might depend on what perks/features are included....

some thoughts beyond market2 would include things like divi lists WITH associated stats made available for viewing/download sometime after divis are released, 'prebuying' of IPOs at $20/share, 'mulligans' (within certain parameters) for missed/accidently sold splits, etc...I'm sure we could come up with more.

That doesn't include possible features/perks we might be able to make available if/when we get our sister site going......like, how many would be interested in starting their own fan site/blog hosted by us...etc...

that also doesn't include other things I've always wanted to instigate....like pay to play comps with real prizes based on entry fees collected, private leagues, etc etc...

*sigh* ...an actual budget to work with would be nice......

Thanks!

One thing I always would like to see is to put the page numbers at the top to jump to other pages. I hate scrolling all the way down!

Take market2 away after week 2 of the NFL season and make it a subscription service then. Throw in a line about "unlimited usage" and you'll have them hooked.

I like the idea. Not just as a means of self-support, but having seen what was done when other small bursts of income came about, it would be cool to be a part of what develops in the future.

As for the logo/shirt project I adopted... I have to apologize. There's been effort to come up with something a little nicer than a t-shirt. I've just gotten bogged down lately as the result of a new (cool) job.

I will see if I can develop something solid soon.
