St. Jude Classic
Taking place at the par 70 TPC Southwind in Memphis. Good scoring is very possible on this course. Well unless its tough conditions like they saw last year where LEONJ won a 3 way playoff over ALLRO and IMMTR who all had a -4 score (he also won this back in 05). And its good to see Phil back this week

for GARBR...a hard working guy who's been banging the ball on tour for 15 years. A perfect example of a pro that was going nowhere...just about to quit a few years back...got out of his own way and has now reached that level that he should have years ago. This guy is a solid ball striker and has a short game. He also is real good at scrambling which means most of his misses are in the right areas. Guys and Gals (if there any here) there are hundreds and hundreds of good ball strikers out there.....hundreds...if they have no short game (of which putting is the most important) you'll retire on the Nationwide or Hooter's Tour, which btw you make a decent living on but .....like baseball the goal is always to get to the "bigs". No difference....except in golf....if you suck...you make no $$$$$$...of any kind. Anyway, I predict bigger things for GAYBR now that I've seen him win twice. I truly believe his age has allowed him to deal with the intense pressure to win in the "bigs".

The weather at the open is not predicted to be good. The long knockers will have a distinct advantage...at over 7400+ yards...the course will play REAL long if wet. Believe it or not....Winged Foot (under wet conditoions) would be better off for all.
