Default No left-wing bias here ..

And that's why this was reported on in the USA unbiased media.

Ignoring your feeble attempts to draw the ire of folks, as I'm really not in the mood for school yard games, this does raise some questions for me.

I'm guessing these folks will cite their first amendment rights in doing this. A right that does make it legal to do so. But, I'd be curious to ask them to explain to me why they have that right. It might be interesting to hear what their response would be.

Not much different than that anti-gay church led by Fred Phelps that shows up at soldiers' funerals to protest, not the war, but the military itself for defending a country (the US) that supports homosexuality. As you'll see if you read the article, they tote signs that read "Thank God for IEDs" and "Thank God for Dead Soldiers". Thankfully, a group of bikers (The Patriot Gaurd Riders) show up to block these fools from interfering with the funeral ceremonies.

Nick - the fact that stories about these groups of people that use repulsive forms of protest are reported by the media doesn't make the media outlet that reports this stuff biased one way or the other. I actually saw a story about the folks burning the "soldier" (from your referenced video) on Fox News yesterday, and I think we'd agree that Fox News doesn't have a liberal slant.

you know, now that i think about it, it might be better if stories like this were never given any air time at all. not even a footnote on the back page. after all aren't folks like this just looking for publicity? if i burn something in effigy in my backyard and no one ever knows then what's the point? i'd likely never bother doing it again if i knew the only person who would be aware that i was doing it in the first place was me.

kind of like when little one's cop attitude or spend hours crying at bedtime, often best to let them cry themselves to sleep. eventually they get the point that no one is going to come running so why bother?
