Please be safe with the upcoming hurricane! We are starting to question our purchase of the place in Wilmington. 2 years, 2 major hurricanes!

My youngest moved to Charleston (4 miles from Folly Beach) in August and has already evacuated to Winston-Salem.....took his two dogs plus a rescue dog and cat from the animal shelter. Kids got a heart of gold. (Takes after his mother)
My son in Wilmington is going to ride it out, especially if the eye stays out to sea.

Prayers to you and yours!

Thanks Kevin. We're ready....all vehicles gassed up. Did a tune-up & oil change on the generator. Have a total of about 65 gal of gas on hand, plenty of food and water.

As I mentioned last time, if your son gets in a jamb, tell him to call me.

We were blessed. As close as that thing got to us we were definitely spared. No significant damage (Florance was much worse). Winds got up to maybe 75-85 mph. Clean up will take a few days but I am not complaining. Generator ran all night....all good.

Good to hear Rich. Still waiting to hear from my son this morning, but Duke energy outage website showed our place still with power, so he is probably just sleeping in.

I downloaded the WECT app and watched their continuous coverage, it was good to be able to get local perspective on demand!

Glad you are safe and thanks again for being there for Ryan if need be. It's more comforting than you know.
