Default A stock to POSSIBLY look at

South Dakota based VeraSun Energy (VSE), which is one of the largest producers of ethanol, was at a high of $17.75 last December. With the rising cost of corn, etc, the stock has been plummeting and the company is strongly considering filing Chapter 11 to restructure....but could also be making more shares available to generate $750mil in revenue

VSE closed at $.48/share today

I post this NOT to encourage anyone to buy into this stock..at least yet...but simply to call your attention to the possibility that this stock COULD be ripe for a serious upward spike in the not-too-distant future.

Nope. VSE went bankrupt, I believe.

Edit: Just double-checked myself. I was right [http://www.verasun.com/].

yup, Verasun went bankrupt and was bought out.......don't think anybody made out on that one since I posted!

the plant here is still in production, but as part of a new company

but yeah, woulda been sweet to buy at 48 cents and sell at $35, eh?
