Been thinkin' on this for some time
I truly believe the game would benefit from the following:
1. Sell all splits in the NASCAR sector...put them back to 10K 2. Sell all goalie splits in the NHL sector...back to 10K 3. Sell all PGA splits ...back to 10K While I realize this would mean much more cash unspent in our ports, I feel that activity in the game will pick up....make comps more interesting....increase moo realistically with more action instead of just raising the moo level. Thoughts?

Stock splits have been a thorn in my side seems like since the beginning...
One thought I've had is....if I were to be starting this thing over, I'd say all stocks should be reset to $20 (or maybe $50) at the end of each season. Logistics of how that happens would have some debate, but the end result would be either that there would BE no stock splits, or stocks would split at a much lower price and still only be held thru that season. Another is...stocks don't split a 2nd time, the 2nd time they reach split levels they're sold off and the stock price reset. I do know your thinking re selling off those splits. Even with the 50k trading, the action on a lot of those stocks isn't what it might be...

...sometimes i speak before thinking, but could the stocks as they split go to a mutual fund?
once there, they would look after themselves (funds equation)...splits (yet again) issued in shares with no maximums??...unlimited shares? this may only apply to TV ports.... then the split stock price could be reset to the normal (for comps, etc.) and the fund would still increase (a la TV re funds)??? wouldn't need the 50K thingy with funds set up methinks

This disgrace to civilization should be done away with at once. Heroism at command, how violently I hate all this, how despicable and ignoble war is; I would rather be torn to shreds than be a part of so base an action. For me, trading activity would increase if all 100K was always in play (raise the 50K limit) or have a regular prescheduled amnesty to buy back (1st of each month, for instance). Then if I day traded a splitter and it was a mistake, I could buy it back at the next amnesty. Also, full moo for all would make the 100K more actively traded as well. I have mentioned before that raising the limit for each stock to 25K or some higher number would also increase the moo, etc. and the corresponding chances for active players to gain on inactives. None of these seem as drastic as rich 76's ideas, which are good ideas nonetheless.
