Default Prayer request for a member

I received a PM sent last night that I got this morning from a member not a lot of you know....but more of us should.

Scott aka carjam12 is having surgery today for a mass his doctor is largely sure is cancer.

He...and I...would greatly appreciate any and all prayers (or whatever your comfortable equivalent is) that the surgery go well and recovery can begin anew.....

That would be enough in itself to warrant your taking some time today on his behalf.....but this isn't Scott's first major 'test'...not even his first since Jockstocks began. You may or may not remember my posting a year or so ago about someone who'd told me of their appreciation for having Jockstocks to play and come to during another very difficult time for him....while enduring a lengthy recovery from an accident resulting in a coma.

In other words, he's already endured more than most of us will in our entire lifetimes....and I for one salute his inspiring courage and plan to keep him in my ongoing prayers and ask you to do the same.

Dear Apostle of Emilia and member of the Order of Mary, you spread the Good News by your word, and by your life witnessed to its truth. In union with Jesus crucified, you endured excruciating sufferings so patiently as to be healed miraculously of cancer in the leg. If it is agreeable to God, obtain relief and cure for Scott, and keep us all from the dread cancer of sin. Amen.

I like to thank everyone for the prayers and good wishes.I out of the hospital this afternoon.they took out all of my left kidney.the doctors told me that all of the cancer was only the kidney. So I would need any more treatment. for now other the blood test to make sure the other kidney is working right and a ctscan every six months to make sure the cancer has not returned.Hope fully I will be able to go back to work by the first of August. With the Gall bladder surgery last month and this I have not been able to work since the 19 May.I cant complain though because they found this cancer Ct Scan of the gall bladder I would not of known about otherwise I had no problems until much later and the chance of recovery would have been a lot less because by then it would have spread there wouldnt have been much they could have done for me.

thanks again Scot aka carjam12

FANTASTIC, Scott!

Glad to hear it went that well.

That doesn't, however, excuse you from my prayer list

Good to hear Scott. Now can you say one back for Katrina. She is having surgeory tomorrow to remove growths from her female inside parts to check for cancer. She is stressed. I am optimistic. Either way I feel for all you who go under the knife. God speed.
