Default Official Hockey Night at Jockstocks contest thread

OK, by request we'll give another contest a try here.....rules may be adjusted as we go along here....

For now, let's try this.....

I (or possibly islandgirl or others) will post 2 games being played on Saturday....for this week I'm picking the 2 directly from the HNIC schedule

Prognosticate the score of both games
Pick the correct winner of BOTH games and win 100k for your TV port
Be the one closest to the actual scores and win 100k for your TV port

Tiebreaker- total goals scored in both games...which you can, but don't have to list, since your score projections are right there...

This week?
Toronto at Montreal
Chicago at Vancouver

My entry?
Toronto 4
Montreal 1

Chicago 2
Vancouver 3

in other words, my tiebreak answer is 10

Might I suggest shots on goal for the tie-breaker? ie, Vancouver - 31, Chicago - 29.

Chances of two people picking the same numbers are slim

Sorry if it's confusing, but I separated it by game. The numbers in the parenthesis are the difference in actual score by each team. Actual scores are posted above each section. For Orren's sake, winners are in bold, red, underlined and italicized.

Actual tie-breaker score: 10
Canadiens 2-0

Islandgirl-TOR 2-3 LOSS
Sitewolf- TOR 1-4 LOSS
Bballjer44- MTL 6-2 (4+2)=6
Hork-MTL 5-2 (3+2)=5
Rich76- MTL 4-2 (2+2)=4
WINNER: H20guy- MTL 4-1 (2+1)=3

Blackhawks 7-1

H20guy-VAN 4-2 LOSS
Sitewolf-VAN 3-2 LOSS
Hork-CHI 5-4 (2+3)=5
Rich76-CHI 4-2 (3+1)=4 (tiebreaker off by 2)
Islandgirl-CHI 4-2 (3+1)=4 (tiebreaker off by 1)
WINNER: Bballjer44-CHI 5-3 (2+1)=3

which means rich, bballjer, and hork all picked both winners but Rich's 9 edges out Jer's 10 for the 2nd 100k, eh?
