Maybe I'm being too pushy but when will you time to change NBA? Haven't seen any votes against so far.

I just haven't had time to think it thru...not much spare time the last couple weeks with lots of family here, lots of time spent going thru Mom's stuff. But I take the last of the family to the airport in awhile here today so my new norm (same as the old one except half the house boxed up!) begins tonight....then I'll have more time again.

I'm all in on the 100k trading thing. let's try golf for Jan and see what happens. maybe flip the switch on nba at all star break? whenever that is.

nba sector is boring so i'd be more active...

Ease into it like the 50k split trade thing and people will adjust, casual players are casual players... and you have their email addys to notify them of changes if they don't log in daily

-NO AMNESTIES...It would allow for the more active traders who are paying attention to take advantage of a second split on key producing stocks.

This would allow day trading of splits, but still allow users to hold players long term, who have split more than one time. It would also keep alot more unused money in larger ports invested. Is this a bad idea? IDK, I like it.

not a matter of not liking it IMO...but is it different than what we've been doing? well...other than increasing the 50k daytrading to 100k...and (if I'm reading you correctly) selling 10mil shares back to 10k shares

my issue is the disparity in dollars invested between someone who was holding a stock that splits a 2nd/3rd time and someone who wasn't

I'm not against, at least for now, allowing 100k trading of splits in all sectors....but I don't know that it's the more permanent option we need. For me, family finally vacated my premises yesterday...so today was more about catching up a bit after 2 weeks of activity and 5-6 hour tops night's sleep ....so haven't had a lot of time to assimilate

Selling those who have split to 10M shares back to 1M, not 10k. Keeping the max shares you can hold on a player at 1M. This would allow users to hold 1M sharesguys of guys who have split more than once, and allow 100 k trading on first time splitters. I think it sounds fair, and is something in the middle to keep most people happy. Better than the current system in place IMO.

it is the current system...just with the numbers upped, yes?

I'm not saying it couldn't work..couldn't be helpful..so don't get me wrong. These discussions are also partly about playing devil's advocate...so, for example, how do you feel about no amnesties if you accidentally sell a 100k split not realizing it's about to split to 1mil..and are never allowed to catch back up when the guy above you on the leaderboard has 100 times the value when the stock splits a 3rd time?

It sort of is like the current system. Wouldnt want the game to be change entirely. I think it adds another element to the game to allow stocks to split twice though. You are freeing up entirely too much unused money I think by selling everything off after 100k in alot ofof ports though. As far as accidental selloffs, I think you have enough preventive options in place to keep people from accidently selling off stock. If someone did I'm sure there is some sort of behind the scenes type of work that you can do to help someone out with that problem.

With hockey starting soon, will we be able to daytrade 100K in that sector?

I dunno....are you guys just wanting to be able to trade 100k in all sectors at this point? ...I just don't know I like that long term, but short term while a better solution is worked out...
