The Twins pulled off the first 8-5 triple play in recorded MLB history Monday night.
Runners on 1st and 2nd, ball driven to the right center field fence....most CFs wouldn't get to it, but Buxton was out there.....White Sox runners not only assumed it wouldn't be caught, but Moncada (who was on first) was half way to third....when Buxton caught it, fired back to Urshela, who tagged one runner and stepped on 2nd to complete the historic triple play.......which should be called the WTH were they thinking play from Chicago's viewpoint.
