Yes they were all barely top 25 but they were there...they still have Illinois (which was in the top 25 this year) and Michigan (that was ranked 5 to start the season).

OSU defense is for real and better than last years D as hard as that may be to believe. They have two big games left and could easily lose either game but if they win out, they no doubt belong in that title game
hey...i'm a big ten(11) lover. love the conference. But come on, Purdue? overrated at the time, was only top 25 because of their record, not because of who they beat....Penn State? Another overrated team, Morelli sucks. Sconnie....I sound like a broken record, but again, overrated at the time.

I really want to believe the Big Ten(11) is better than that, but in comparison to the rest of the conferences across the land they are middle of the pack at best.

Another reason I am quick to bash OSU...Is because I hate them.

OSU's game this year

September 1 Youngstown State W 38-6 1-0 (0-0) Big Ten Network
September 8 Akron W 20-2 2-0 (0-0) Big Ten Network
September 15 at Washington W 33-14 3-0 (0-0)
September 22 Northwestern W 58-7 4-0 (1-0)
September 29 at Minnesota W 30-7 5-0 (2-0)
October 6 at No. 23 Purdue W 23-7 6-0 (3-0)
October 13 Kent State W 48-3 7-0 (3-0) Big Ten Network
October 20 Michigan State W 24-17 8-0 (4-0)
October 27 at No. 25 Penn State W 37-17 9-0 (5-0)
November 3 No. 21 Wisconsin W 38-17 10-0 (6-0) Big Ten Network

The only close game they had was Michigan State and they should have beat Michigan yesterday...if these were close games I could see your point but when top teams play teams that are not even close to them on the field they should blow them out which is exactly what the Buckeyes have done...like it or not!

They dont play anyone. Play a top 20 team not a paper top 20 out of the big ten. I dont think any Big 10 teams deserves to be in the top 25. OSU is a top 10 team just not #1. No doubt they will get EXPOSED again. Member Florida last year?

Wisconsin's games this year:
Sep 1 Washington St. Won 42-21
Sep 8 @UNLV Won 20-13
Sep 15 The Citadel Won 45-31
Sep 22 Iowa Won 17-13
Sep 29 Michigan St. Won 37-34
Oct 6 @Illinois Lost 26-31
Oct 13 @Penn St. Lost 7-38
Oct 20 Northern Illinois Won 44-3
Oct 27 Indiana Won 33-3
Nov 3 @Ohio St. Lost 17-38
Barely beat UNLV....gave up 31 to the Citadel, got killed by PSU...wow, great win

PSU's games this year:
Sep 1 Fla. International Won 59-0
Sep 8 Notre Dame Won 31-10
Sep 15 Buffalo Won 45-24
Sep 22 @Michigan Lost 9-14
Sep 29 @Illinois Lost 20-27
Oct 6 Iowa Won 27-7
Oct 13 Wisconsin Won 38-7
Oct 20 @Indiana Won 36-31
Oct 27 Ohio St. Lost 17-37
Nov 3 Purdue Won 26-19
Needed a late push to beat Buffalo, gave up 31 to Indiana, otherwise, respectable, but no big wins on their schedule except for Wisconsin, but see above re:wisconsin.

Illinois' Games this year:
Sep 1 Missouri Lost 34-40
Sep 8 Western Illinois Won 21-0
Sep 15 @Syracuse Won 41-20
Sep 22 @Indiana Won 27-14
Sep 29 Penn St. Won 27-20
Oct 6 Wisconsin Won 31-26
Oct 13 @Iowa Lost 6-10
Oct 20 Michigan Lost 17-27
Oct 27 Ball St. Won 28-17
Nov 3 @Minnesota Won 44-17
Pretty respectable with wins against PSU, Wisco, and Missouri...except for the late with against Ball State, and only scoring 6 points in the loss against a bad Iowa team. Otherwise Western Illinois? Syracuse? Indiana? Iowa? Ball State? Minnesota?

If you're interested in unbiased computer rankings, here is how sagarin ranks the conferences:

CONFERENCE CENTRAL MEAN SIMPLE AVERAGE TEAMS

1 SOUTHEASTERN (A) = 80.68 80.34 ( 1) 12
2 BIG EAST (A) = 78.48 77.63 ( 4) 8
3 BIG 12 (A) = 77.89 77.66 ( 3) 12
4 PAC-10 (A) = 77.45 78.12 ( 2) 10
5 ATLANTIC COAST (A) = 76.86 76.68 ( 5) 12
6 BIG TEN (A) = 76.14 76.13 ( 6) 11

Big ten...6th....Ouch.

OSU's schedule rank? 63rd.

Oregon? 12th.

I rest my case.

LOL @ BCS.....Get a rope. BC barely gets their miracle against Virginia Tech after stinkin up the joint then lost to an unranked FSU. They drop to 8th. ASU loses to arguably the best team in the nation and yet drop below BC. BCS=

I may be biased LOL.

BC dropped 6 from 2 to 8
ASU dropped 5 from 4 to 9

Valid point my friend...I also remember their go-to #1 receiver going down in the first minute of the game...granted doesn't really justify the blowout but definately would have been a closer game with him in there. The 52 days off didn't help matters a bit either. I go on record now....IF OSU gets by Illinois and Michigan, they will bring home the Nat. Championship this year. Save this post and prove me wrong

Orren. Oregon was a faster team and better that day with that crowd....What is up with those Jerseys?? I like the all Green with Yellow accents. But this look as if they have running boards on their shoulders is very odd and I hate those unis. Your opinion. Also u thin they will make the Title game?
