I totally get why what Colin did would upset some people.

I seem to remember that Colin has done this before I vaguely remember it was in the locker room though, it was around the time the 49ers most recently went to the super bowl around 2013, and not on the sideline sitting on the bench as was the case the other day. The first incident I just mentioned was mentioned in the media and was spun as where was Colin before a big game started and why was he not with his teammates and not the reason why Colin was in the locker room and that part of the story was not told for awhile maybe even up to a few days if I am recalling correctly which I may not be.

I must admit what Colin did the other day does not upset me, I could see how this could upset a veteran and others as well, nearly as much as it used to. A person whomever that person is does have the right to express themselves as they see fit right as long as their actions are not physically harming others or causing others to do so right?

In an ironic twist, it is the very freedom that the anthem proclaims that allows Colin to refuse to stand during its playing. In some countries, refusing to salute your flag, support your leader, etc. would result in your imprisonment or death.
