Default NFL Fantasy Playoff Challenge '11

NFL PLAYOFFS ARE HERE! The game is simple, pick 1 QB, 2 RB, 1 TE, 3 WR, 1 K and a defense to ride out for the entire playoffs. PLEASE NOTE: YOU WILL ONLY BE PICKING ONE COMPLETE TEAM FOR THE DURATION OF THE PLAYOFFS. Games on a first round Bye will not receive any points for the first round, but may still be picked. The format is going to be like fantasy football with points listed below. You are free to mix and match players from multiple teams or go heavy on a team you think will win the Super Bowl. But be warned once a team is eliminated from the Playoffs any players you have on that team will be eliminated too. All games will be scored including the Super Bowl.

QBs, RBs, WR-

Point per 10 passing yards (100 yards=10 points)
Touchdown (rushing, receiving, fumble recovery, return)= 7 points
Interceptions= -1
Fumble lost= -2
Rushing Yards= 10 yards=1 point (136 yards=13.6 points)
Receiving yards= 10 yards=1 point (136 yards=13.6 points)

K-
Field Goal up to 39 yards= 3 points
Field Goal 40-48 yards= 4 points
Field Goal 49 yards and up= 5 points

Defense:
Sack= 1
Int= 2
Fumble Recovery= 2
TD (punt/Kick off returns as well)= 7
Safety= 2
Blocked kick= 3
Points Allowed 0= 10
Points Allowed 1-6= 7
Points Allowed 7-13= 4
Points Allowed 14-20= 1
Points Allowed 21-27= 0
Points Allowed 28-34= -1
Points Allowed 35+= -4

Any entries must be sent via e-mail to [email protected], you can message myself of Orren (sorry Orren). Entries will be accepted until Saturday 1:30 PM (ET). I will be keeping score and try to give updates each night a game(s) will be played.

Any questions or concerns please message me. Thank you and goodluck.

Reason: cosmetic and typos

What does this mean:

Games on a first round Bye will not receive any points for the first round, but may still be picked.

You meant players, right?

Players will only receive points for the games they play in. Any players on a team that has a first round bye won't play in any games this weekend so they won't receive any points until next weekend.

I will post an excel file later today once the games get going, but it might not be until later this evening. I have a job interview in a few hours, so I might be busy for a while. If you get your entries in before 1:30, I'll accept them.

Whenever there is a game I will be giving a nightly update, but you're free to keep scores on your own. I've made the spreadsheet pretty easy to follow.

To keep me honest here's my team:

D. Brees (NO)
R. Rice (BAL)
M. Turner (ATL)
R. White (ATL)
G. Jennings (GB)
R. Wayne (IND)
J. Tamme (IND)
G. Hartley (NO)
Faclons-Def

Good luck to those who entered. As for the rest of you, get your picks in.
