trading suspended?
After finally getting in this morning, I am now trying to make my buys for today. I can get to the market page, but when I click on buy, it says that trading is suspended. I don't know when else I would be able to do them, as I could not before the normal divi time. Are you planning on two days of divis tomorrow, or some other option? If doubling up, I'm not sure I want to fill my monthly and quarterly. Please advise. Thanks.

reopened for now while we figure out how to handle all this......having problems gaining access to do things we need to do......like stopping the market from resetting, etc....even running divis right now...
...but we're gonna need to close it back up again in a few minutes..............there's no absolutely 'right' way to handle situations like this

I was not able to make buys in monthly or TV.....or sells in TV. I was also not able (obviously) to make my pick10 buys. Is that tough noogies for me?

OK, re: Pick 10 [not that it's a huge competition .. yet] was reset. Orren and I decided not to count delta's for today.
As for buys .. I'm sorry, but yes, tough noogies. As for sells .. you can sell until 02:00pm EST. Nick PS - If you haven't been able to tell, I'm a server admin noobie. Although, I cannot take blame for the server being down this morning.

Guys....
Put my shoes on for a minute and tell me how you'd have handled it differently...bearing in mind that you don't know how many buys are generally made in the morning, you don't have a lot of free time today, and you seem to find yourself in a damned if you do, damned if you don't situation far too often. And, as usual, you don't necessarily have a lot of time to make your decision because people are asking for your decision....right now...so you've got to process all the implications as quickly as possible. Now.....take off my shoes..I gotta go grab a burger.

Sure, peeps will be pizzed that their day's "efforts" were in vain -- and rightfully so. But that is a lesser evil than allowing some with full ports to compete with partial ports and with empty ports. That is just WRONG.

I, like Led, make the majority of my buys in the morning before I leave for work......I also sell off any negs before divi as well. I LT SOME NHL/NBA...not hardly as much as Led does. To go from 2500.00 (or thereabouts-I'm sure Randy could tell you excatly) behind 2nd in monthly to 26K behind is hard to take. Now.....by no stretch am I implying a chance to win the monthly...not sure anyone can beat Randy or the bitter guy from down under but.......ya never know.

---- happens... 98% of the time the site is up and running fine.... Losing a day... Losing a few buys... Isn't going to kill much... Unless you are talking about ur monthly and 1/4ly comps....
