Get your money down on the Vikes right now. 12-1 behind the Steelers, Pats, and Giants(wtf). The press conference is up the road about 9 minutes from my house. Sorry cheeseheads!

not sure if there is an over/under on how many games he plays...

...but to be fair it should be at least 10....and I will play it under...mind you if it were 8 I'd still play it under!!

Jackson and Rosenfels will stay sharp(??).

I don't know that I'm exactly excited either...especially after hearing him say he just found out his rotator cuff has had a tear in it for years....

Ya know, Joe, it's funny......I actually talked last week about putting some money down on the Vikings (and if you knew me, you know I just don't do that)........naturally now (right or wrong) the odds are more in the house's favor with this signing....

Funny, too....my brother (the Eagles fan) and I talked jokingly a couple weeks ago about which would irritate us most...our team signing Michael Vick or Brett Favre....................never in my wildest dream (nightmare) did I think our teams would sign BOTH of 'em!

If theres one thing Ive learned about the NFL the past few years, when everyone says something is a sure thing (ie Favre in purple makes the Vikes a super bowl contender) the opposite usually happens (I give you the Pats-Giants super bowl for example). Salary cap era NFL basically has no conventional wisdom to it. So if you bet with the masses, caveat emptor!

I just don't really see how this really helps the Vikings.

I mean running the ball should be what their offense revolves around right.

October 5 should be interesting.

I guess that is when Favre goes back to Green Bay.

Now will the fans being booing Favre, the Vikings, or both.

Please I don't want to have this "drama" happen again for next season.

What? This is just silly. Favre has gone from sentimental hero to completely annoying over the course of the last three seasons.

Sentimental hero? Are you just saying that because its prerequisite to get a football announcing gig?

The only way this helps the Vikings is that, hurt arm or not, he's still a better downfield passer than either Sage "thank god my middle name is not Parsley or Thyme" Rosemary, I mean Rosenfels, or T-Jack. In the preseason game last week, Im fairly certain that neither of them threw the ball past the 12 yard mark.

Well, remember that playoff run when his father died and he got all the way to the NFC Conference Title game? Everyone was rooting for the Packers to go all the way. Now I think he's just a fuddy duddy. I don't see him announcing after he retires next time.

I meant it in the sense that all announcers kiss up to him the way you said you used too. I almost forgot about that, but than I didnt care cause it'd take more than a family death to get me to root for the Packers

I know what you mean, Madden acts as though Favre just gave him the best BJ of his life before every game he announces.

I think the Pack comes to the dome in oct and we go to the bay in nov but I firmly believe we are at least going to the NFC title game if not further. AD is a beast and just the threat of a decent QB will keep most defenses honest.

Yeah, I agree. Let me ask you guys this, if Favre runs in for a TD when they play in Green Bay, does anyone else see him doing a "Lambeau Leap"?

Remember the "BLACK & BLUE DIVISION" I see Favre comeing out being beaten up by several of the teams. I don't feel that he will last as long as he did last year. He just doesn't know when to retire.

Hey,

I'm more amazed by the amount of money he signed for. 25 million over two years?
