A very impressive stat(streak) that I should not have to even mention what it is, but my feeling is that this streak is still not getting enough mainstream media mention. How long does it continue? It's a tough week coming up so my guess (I hope I'm wrong) is that it ends this upcoming week.

well...this ain't football where it's logical to think a team can go unbeaten for an entire season. The best winning percentage ever was the '29-'30 Canadiens who were 38-5-1...approaching that would be incredible enough, eh?

but yeah, the media would rather talk about LeBron's pre-game rituals and whether Mark Sanchez should remain the Jets starting QB.....if it were the Rangers or other 'media favorite' franchises with that record, we'd be hearing about it more

hey!....Grumpy....no sleep well?

I've never been to Chicago....or any LARGE US cities...but seems to me, they are all "cesspools".

I am a Blackhawks fan....not a 'City Of Chicago' fan. Not a fan of any US city actually, but I am a sport fanatic.

Blackhawks certainly look like the team to beat. Nice to see Kane 4th in scoring.

Don't watch ESPN...they don't cover any sport they don't air.

NBCSports and the NHLNetwork both are following the current streak and I have seen plenty of "talk" about it on those networks...

NBCSports is 1,000 times better than ESPN, covers all sports and not just the Yankees, Red Sox, Jets and Patriots like the WWL...

Out for drinks with a pal today and noticed the place we were at (because no one is a sports fan) had the TV's on PTI (ESPN) and they were talking about the Blackhawks run...

End of talk about the "mainstream media" not giving you enough "cred"...

(I was satisfied that it was muted)

They've already failed that. Under the old rules, the hawks are 12-0-10 right now.

Under the "old rules", they're unbeaten (overtime or otherwise)...

Unbeaten doesn't mean they get a high winning %.

Common way to calculate winning % is pts earned over available points which would 34/44 or .773

while the Canadiens got 77/88 or .875

I will take the 12-0-10 versus 38-5-1. Double the Hawks to get the same amount of games played and you have 24-0-20, One is undefeated while the other has 5 losses.

Blackhawks up 4-1 after the 1st against Orren's Wild. I better not be jinxed for posting this so early.
