BMW Championship
Traditionally this was known as the Western Open, which has been played since 1899(!). Recently it was based out of Cog Hill near Chicago, but this year it is being played at the par 71 Bellerive Country Club in St. Louis, and will be rotated between Cog Hill, Bellerive, and Carmel near Indy for the forseeable future.
The top 70 in the FedEx points standings make it to this tournament, and there is no weekend cut, just as a head's up to those who buy and hold. The top of the leaderboard wont be the only thing to look at though, as everyone will be trying to get into the top 30 to get into next week's PGA Championship. The defending champ is Tiger, who finished the tourney last year at an amazing (and tourney record) -22, and this years winner earns a $1,260,000 paycheck.
