The Danica Racing League start tomorrow.

Danica got in a huge "wad" of cars. This wad almost knocked out a third of the field. Six out of nineteen cars were involved.

They were racing at a track in Iowa and not at Talladega Alabama.

Danica finished 13th.

Danica finished 6th yesterday at Richmond out of nineteen cars.

Dario Franchitti led 242 out of 250 laps in this race. That is a pretty dominant performance. There was a caution with about 10 laps to go and Dario just took off and no one came close to catching Dario after the restart.

Dario won the last race in Iowa also.

I like when Dario wins a race because the people broadcasting the race like to talk to Dario's biggest supporter which just happens to be his wife Ashley Judd. I may have mentioned this before for some reason.

Dario also like to collect Ferraris in his spare time.

It sounds like being a race car driver would be pretty cool.

The cutest driver in the IRL is racing again Sunday.

Danica finished 11th out of 18 cars.

That was not the big news though. There was post race altercation between Sam Hornish jr. and Tony Kanaan.

This will have the IRL buzzing all week.

Just don't expect it to be the lead story on Sportscenter.

There was rain in Nashville on Saturday so I believe the race was yesterday.

Danica finished third which matched her best finish in her IRL career.

That dumb driver held Danica up with about five laps left even though he was a lap down.

This race has a unique trophy for the winner. The winner gets a guitar.

I completely forgot about Danica.

The race was Saturday I guess and she finished 5th out of 18 cars.

I almost forgot Danica.

Danica raced last Saturday.

In one of the strangest racing incidents I have seen in quite some time Danica was coming out of the pits and did not complete a full lap before all of a sudden she went into the wall hard.

There is some speculation on what might have happened but there was not a real definitive answer just after the race. Danica thought she may have ran over something on the track and it was confirmed that one of her tires had gone flat or was going to go flat because she had lost tire pressure in one of her tires. I guess some how they can tell when something like this happens even from the pits.

She finished up 16th out of eighteen cars on the track.

Danica's teammate Dario Franchitti otherwise known as Mr. Ashley Judd had another wild ride for the second consecutive race. Dario flipped his car over for the second straight week. This was towards the very end of the race when Dario kept going while barely slowing down even though he had just crossed the finish line. So the car in front of Dario had slowed way down and Dario had slowed very little and when Dario hit the back of the car in front of him he flipped up and over. This could have been very serious but Dario walked away again after the medical center checked him out. There was a camera on Dario's car and they showed it and it is quite the wild ride because once the car gets completely off the track the driver can not really do anything after that except to wait it out. Dario after the race said it was completely his fault. And he said he was sorry more than once.

I am sure the IRL will try to think of a way so that the driver knows immediately that they have crossed the finish line to end the race after this incident on the track.

Another week another mishap for Danica when she was in the pits. Her car stalled while she was trying to leave the pits.

Because of this Danica finished 6th out of 18 cars.

Danica led a few laps! She finished second which is her best finish in her IRL [DRL] career!

So they actually timed how much longer the race would go instead of going the 90 laps they were supposed to. I am sure ABC had some other great programming to get to even though it was not the local news that ABC does not have that around here anymore.

So the clock had reached zero but the leader was in the middle of lap so he had to finish that lap and another one.

There is an extremely close points race that is in the single digits on who will will the IRL championship. So the two drivers Mr. Ashley Judd Dario Franchitti and Scott Dixon that are vying for the championship had an incident on the final lap!

Buddy Rice who was the driver that was directly in front of Scott Dixon ran out of fuel and Scott Dixon was not able to avoid him.

Just after this happened Dario Franchitti comes along and there is pure speculation that Scott Dixon was trying to block Dario from getting in front of Scott Dixon. Part of it of course was that Scott Dixon did not want Dario to pick up any spots because Dixon's car had stalled out. There was only one little problem for Scott Dixon he could not get his car restarted in time and Dario was able to when he got help from the Delphi Safety team to restart his car and he picked up a few spots to regain the championship points lead. The Delphi Safety team usually are the ones that help when there is an accident or other incidents on the track. There is no denying the fact that the Delphi Safety team helped Dario Franchitti regain the points lead but at the time they were just trying to help and the championship point lead was not on their mind at all. This safety team is there to help any of the drivers that need help.

And this let Dario Franchitti gets his points lead back after Scott Dixon was leading the championship points race going into the race. Both of the drivers would have been tied for the championship lead going into the final race based on where they finished the race. But there was one little problem. Dario led the most laps in the race. So the end result from all of this happening is Dario Franchitti leads Scott Dixon by three points heading into the final race.

If this incident never occurs Scott Dixon would have been the points leader still because he was actually ahead of Dario Franchitti until the last lap. Dario gained some spots with this incident. And that was just enough for Dario Franchitti to regain the championship point lead.

This was the second to last race of the season. So next week whoever finishes closest to the leader next Sunday will probably win the championship. And there are bonus points for leading a lap and leading the most laps that will also come into play.

I of course want Dario to win so that ABC just has to interview Dario's wife yet again.

Just another boring IRL race yet again.

The IRL has not been this exciting since Danica led a few laps at the Indianapolis 500!

I don't know if I will be able to stand another dramatic finish like the one yesterday. I didn't even realize what had happened until this morning actually. Part of it was that ABC switched over immediately to other programming at the very top of the hour. Which gave ABC almost no time at all to sort this all out at the time this all happened.
