Default Top News Stories of 2008

I will just keep going till I get to Obama is elected president.

It will take a while though.

I had to add a few of my own because CNN conveniently forgot the mayor of Detroit most notably.

1. Financial market crashes. [Thanks in part to democrats; and republicans as well would not want to leave them out. Talk about a wonderful bipartisan effort.]
2. Terrorist Attacks in Mumbai.
3. Comedian George Carlin dies on June 22, 2008. R.I.P. George.
4. Feeling the first earthquake in my life earlier this year. It was almost a surreal feeling to me but I went right back to sleep.
5. Democrat Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich is really bad.
6. Democrat Mayor of Detroit Kwame Kilpatrick is so corrupt he had to go to prison.
7. Democrat New York Governor Elliot Spitzer likes a lady that is not his wife.
8. Ted Stevens is a former evil republican senator from Alaska.
9. Summer Gas Prices. [These used to around 4$ per gallon.]
10. Hurricane Ike.
11. Cyclone hits Myanmar.
12. The countries of Russia and Georgia have a little bit of conflict earlier this year.
13. Same sex marriage is allowed in California.
14. Hurricane Gustav.
15. O.J. is going away to prison for a while at least.
16. Michael Phelps wins eight gold medals a record at the Olympics.
17. Earthquake in China.
18. Senator Kennedy has a brain tumor.
19. The war in Iraq goes on besides the best efforts of democrats to end the war by now.
20. There are riots in Tibet.
21. The #1 suspect in the 2001 anthrax attacks kills himself.
22. A Bosnian war crimes suspect is arrested.

And last but not least.

23. Obama is elected president.

Now Obama will rank much higher on my list next year I am sure.

A looooooong line of handouts will be needed and Obama will oblige of course.
Comprehensive immigration reform will become law.
Everyone will be taxed even more than they already are either directly or indirectly in order to save the planet.

I can't wait for next year.

So how would you rank these particular stories and all but three of them I got from CNN?

Super Special Sensational Sweetheart.

Reason: My Obama pettiness strikes again. Took story out wasn't very newsworthy. Spelled a word wrong. Added another story.

This disgrace to civilization should be done away with at once. Heroism at command, how violently I hate all this, how despicable and ignoble war is; I would rather be torn to shreds than be a part of so base an action. It is my conviction that killing under the cloak of war is nothing but an act of murder." (Albert Einstein)
