Default PGA Championship

Whistling Straits a Pete Dye masterpiece along Lake Michigan is the scene of this years PGA Championship. A prettier place you'll not find. It'll play at a tad over 7500 yards with 4 par 5's (all but one of them right at or near 600 yds). If you want to see just how beautiful this place is go here http://www.pga.com/pgachampionship/2...x.cfm?holeId=1.
Defending champion is YANYE (you might remember him TAKING it from Woods last year with a chip in on 16 or17 and an amazing hybrid to 18 for a birdie) . Last time it was played here was in 2004 and SINGH won it then. IMHO this track will favor the bombers...we shall see. There is trouble on most every single approach shot with half the holes cuddled up to the Lake.
Can't find the number but my guess is that the winner's share should be right around 1.4 mil.

Triple thank you rich.

Will Tiger win another major? I guess we could start asking this question and he wins one or two next year after he gets his life somewhat back. People tend to forget how much Tiger has been through off the golf course. It was his own doing of course but he has had a lot of distractions for a while now.

And one of the characteristics I always think of when he is playing golf he is so focused. I have not watched Tiger play on television for most of this year actually but he has to be distracted by many things while he is playing golf right now.

Tiger's got problems. Last week he shot the worst 4 rounds in a tournament in his life. It was hard to watch. If he doesn't keep the ball in the fairway this week it could be as bad. He played a practice round with Sean Ohare and Ohare's coach! We'll know by noon EST if he's still having those problems. Should be interesting...he's playing with YANYE (the guy who whooped him in the PGA last year.)

Going through fog like that has been my drive to work for about 3 or 4 days of the past week and a half. I dont mind hot temperatures but Im very much not accustomed to these mid-70s dew points. If this is what global warming is like, than damn you Al Gore!

Also thanks Rich

another fog delay.....this will suck for those not making the cut...having to stay til Saturday. They're in North Carolina next week and traveling there from Wisconsin is not just a jump in the car and go.

Looks like we may have back to back double round divi days for some.
