Miggy Cabrera buys majority interest in Tigers
http://msn.foxsports.com/mlb/story/t...million-032714
OK, no he didn't....but with his new contract, POTENTIALLY worth over $350million and money he's already made, he could I remember saying 'where does it end' when the first $100mil total and $20mil/season contracts happened.........but seriously, $30mil...for 10 years...for a guy that's already 31? I'm not questioning whether he's deserving of a big contract...or even the size (relatively)...........mostly the length

It is no longer the Yankees that ESPN and others should be complaining about it is now the Dodgers. ESPN loves to discuss players salaries and how wayyyyyyy to much they are. And yes some will complain about the Yankees no matter what.

just that outfield is more than the marlins and astros entire 25 man roster......and that's with the astros doubling last year's payroll
the fact that the dodgers are doing this doesn't mean the yankees are off the hook...after all, were it not for AHole's suspension they'd be far closer to dead even with the dodgers......and the fact the dodgers are matching the craziness just means the insanity is spreading .....tho this Miggy contract makes me shake my head more than all o' that

Oh how soon we forget that it was actually the Rangers that gave A-Rod a ton of money before the Yankees did. The Yankees did pay at least a part of the Rangers contract if I am remembering correctly though.
The other thing about the Yankees they decided not to give a huge contract to Robinson Cano. This helps to keep the Yankees salary down a bit to.

Just a few Dodger starting pitcher salaries.
Zack Greinke 26,000,000 CLayton Kershaw 6,571,428 Which is very interesting for this upcoming season but Kershaw will be making over 32 million next year. And a person thought that was insane. The Dodgers are paying Josh Beckett 17,000,000 to pitch for them this upcoming season.
