NBA all-star game
has become a damn JOKE and IMHO should be ended.

The slam dunk contest needs to go first.
I liked the 200 point plateau reached... but they do need incentive on having some level of a mid-range game which will promote defense. My ideas.... In the last 2 minutes of a quarter: 35'+ 3s be worth 4 points, free throws be worth 2 points, and mid/long-range 2pt shots (11' - inside the 3pt line) be worth 5 points. This way they would at least play some level of "old-school" ball. Then, if a player hits consecutive 3s and no other teammate hit one between makes, each second 3 is worth 1.5 points. Steals and blocks worth 0.5 point.

I thought in order to call it a 'game' there would have to be some sort of a competition...what I saw (in 'highlights') was an exhibition at best, not a game.

I'm pretty confident my last words will be 'well crap, that didn't work'. Of all the things I've lost over the years, I think I miss my metabolism most of all. Nachos are just tacos that don't have their s_it together. I'm not adding this year to my age because I really didn't use it. Ever notice that extra fries and exercise sound a lot alike?

I heard a suggestion today....USA vs Europeans. The thinking is that the Euros would play like hell to win and the USA would be forced to PLAY. Not sure if that's the answer but is innovative. I like a bit of Ron stuff above but feel too much of it would be too confusing to all.
They need to do something because that was pathetic....the little I watched.
