It is on.
Some pretty remarkable performances already. I hope all goes well for Japan and their efforts. Opening drone display truly spectacular.

Hope all goes well for all. I can't watch....sad for me as I've enjoyed the games forever. The first American I see kneeling for our Anthem would put my TV in jeopardy.

seriously, after all this time I'm over it...if I got steamed every time I saw an athlete do something I didn't like or for that matter a team or sport do something I didn't like, I wouldn't have much fr sports to watch...
you wanna kneel? I can't stop you..but you're not going to mess with my enjoyment of watching the competition....I don't watch medal ceremonies anyway

I'm pretty confident my last words will be 'well crap, that didn't work'. Of all the things I've lost over the years, I think I miss my metabolism most of all. Nachos are just tacos that don't have their s_it together. I'm not adding this year to my age because I really didn't use it. Ever notice that extra fries and exercise sound a lot alike?

An Iranian athlete Saeid Mollaei, was told by Tehran to forfeit a 2019 match so he wouldn't have to face an Israeli. He refused & fled for his life. Germany gave him refuge. Mongolia put him on its 2020 team. He just won silver — and dedicated it to Israel. The Times of Israel reported that two judu fighters forfeited their matches against an Israeli in the previous two weeks. Saudi Arabian judoka Tahani al-Qahtani, however, bucked pressure to forfeit her match against Israel’s Raz Hershko in the women’s +78kg category on Friday.The Israeli won. Following the match, the athletes shared a historic handshake. Hershko said afterward, “We shook hands and hugged. I’m happy this match took place.”
