Default calling all patriot fans

The Bears just signed Patriots former safety Brandon Merriweather. He was a pro ball safety his last 2 years while starting every game during his 4 years in the league. What's his story? Why did the Pats cut him? Are you glad that the Pats cut him? Was this a good move for the Bears? The Bears defense could use an experienced good safety like Brandon instead of being stuck with 2nd year project Major Wright while he learns the ropes.

from what I've read, Merriweather kinda followed his own game plan and while playing and (obviously) hitting hard, took too many chances for BB's taste and was then too often out of position...

...still a good signing from what I can tell.....and shoulda been my Vikings doin' it

Looks like we got rid of one after last season in Tommie Harris and picked up another. I will be keeping my fingers crossed that with a new change of scenery will do him good.
I see the Colts cut Tommie Harris. I heard he played well enough to make the team, but his high almighty attitude was not worth keeping him.
