didn't watch the other game, tho.....still find it pathetic that a team who doesn't win their own conference should get a chance to win the natty when not all conference champions do......Alabama shouldn't be there..again

Apparently committee couldn't decide between 3 deserving Big Ten teams
so pick a one loss team who beat no one in the top 16. SEC was not its usual power conference this year.

But 'they'll' say because 2 SEC teams won their playoff game, they got it right....but ignore/suppress the ranking of an unbeaten who beat 2 strong SEC teams, ignore other Power 5 conference winners.......

Auburn beat both finalists and undefeated UCF beat Auburn last week.
Do we already have the most deserving champions?
Also, UCF's strength of schedule was the same as Bama's. Auburn's sos was 1, ND 2, Georgia 3.

yet the media claims UCF had too weak a schedule to be considered for the playoffs.....and they had no losses

Most of these SEC teams rarely have an OOC game on the road against a Power 5 opponent...not that often they have one at all and if so they call it a 'neutral field' (i.e. a few years back LSU played Oregon in Texas....a couple hundred miles from Baton Rouge while Oregon was closer to 2,000 miles from home)

All they have to do is expand it to 8 teams- Power 5 conference champions plus top 3 non-champions...and use the current bowl system for most of the playoffs, at least the first round.

Saban was even complaining about 'only' getting 1 week to prepare for the natty....probably because he's used to having a cupcake game the week after any tough game during the season.

Only FBS conference that most members play a late season game against Division I-AA. In Bama's case week 11 against Mercer. Auburn still beat them in week 12.
