I got a kick out of them continually showing 2-300 'cheerleaders' from North Korea, talking about how this could be a start of political change....yet saying (duh!) some South Koreans don't trust them (and not saying the obvious, which is that the North Korean people themselves don't have a lot of say in it)
Also weird to see several sweeps of medals....the Dutch women in the 5000m skate, Norwegians in skiatholon for starters

then there's Red Gerard.........17 yr old kid that reminds you of Spicoli in Fast Times at Ridgmont High......who had no business (or thought of) being on the podium, but pulls out the run of his life and skyrockets to gold (maybe helped by the fact he's 115 lbs and possibly 'wind aided')
.....and talking about how his family was shotgunning beers in preparation to even going to watch his event....

I agree. I wish the left run media had the capacity to be ashamed of themselves.

they're far too busy being judgmental and discriminatory towards those they view as judgemental and discriminatory while lacking the capacity to discern the irony

I just came real close to breaking a flat screen. They just couldn't introduce Davis (speed skater) without telling us, AGAIN, what a whiney little bi*c* he was over a coin flip.
GEESH!

You guys take the commentary too personal. I dont like it either, but its very easy to put through my BS filter and just sit back and enjoy the actual games. |

Thank you for reminding me why I haven't watch very much well I did watch one speed skating race.
I did watch a few minutes of the opening ceremonies and got lectured about some of it was using CGI. I would have never guessed that stuff way above the stadium was not real. Another friendly reminder that a television does have volume controls. And I truly miss the NHL players being in the Olympics. Just not the same. So I watched one segment of ice hockey and said not for me. I don't know how many times it has been mentioned that the U.S. has jackets with heaters in them because it can be cold in that part of the world. Maybe Storm can tell us how cold it is because if a person does not know Storm is Jockstocks chief meteorologist. And he can probably do it way better than most of the meteorologists on television today.

And FYI...it's no colder at the Olympics than where these people have been training for years and years. Quote:

I am surprised! If you want to watch pro hockey...the nhl is still running nightly, i believe. Amateur sport! that is what the olympics are 'supposed' to represent and support. I hated the professionals taking the medal chance from those that don't earn a living at it. hollow victories

I don't strain my brain on this..because I don't think there are any elite amateur athletes around anyway. They are all paid in some way or other.
