Default 'in honor of' stocks.

i have a suggestion.
There are quite a few of these honorary stocks. no idea how many but i am sure there are several.
perhaps a tab or link in TV for specialty stocks held. Which can include honorary stocks or future specialty 'stuff'.
That being said, I think these honorary stocks need to be remembered more obviously. A dividend on the anniversary each year would be appropriate....and a significant one to make it a 'monthly' buy.

retired stocks can be handled the same way.... to the plus or the other way maybe or none....depending whom, perhaps!

Rich linked the mention of adding another folder in your port page, but that's only part of what you're talking about, eh? re the rest, we do have the achidivi system still there if we were to choose to do something like you suggest.....the problems are that we don't normally leave those stocks active (tho we've talked about NEVER deactivating stocks, just placing them into an inactive market area where they could still be bought and sold, but wouldn't receive normal divis)...and that it's yet another detail for yours truly to keep track of......neither is a major problem..just sayin'

I'm seeing the same problems coming with that that came with the "Emmitts"

so....one time ipo the only time they to be remembered??

I was meaning that the best way to remember them, is to have them 'appear' on the market for people to see and remember them by...on the anniversary assigned them.
Otherwise they disappear.
even a three or four percent divi would suffice.....once a year.
I agree they shouldn't be a 'must' buy.

Emmitts....came out at odd times....i think they could do these like a regular divi.

I'd be in favor, but only if we allowed honorary stocks to purchased for TV.

Beast...not trying to be confrontational here...just playing devil's advocate I guess....

wouldn't that require players to either know when, or keep a list of when, all deceased passed here?

No reason we couldn't have a reminder pop-up/notification -- in the end, it will favor those that are around the most.

this is discussion....you let me know when i'm arguing, k?

I think my point may be going un-noticed....
these honorary stocks, as I believe, are meant to honor those that have passed and made a significant contribution of one kind or another.
My point is, they need to be remembered yearly....or the original gesture is diminished.
I don't mean to introduce them as another commodity in game play.
Perhaps a 'dummy divi'??....puts them at the top of the divi list for a few hours at least.

That's my point. I wish they would disappear from the markets.
Honor them on another page. Put some stats/highlights or maybe a link to wiki.

thus the need for another "port folder". You could put them in there with splitters (away from standard LTers) close that folder and never have to look at it again

FWIW, the plan is to not only have an additional folder (possibly 2) but have a separate market page....where ALL inactive stocks are listed..if worked out NO stock IPOd would EVER not be available for purchase, inactive stocks simply wouldn't accumulate stats.
