Default Great job USA.......

in again winning the cup. USA wins 19-15.

I watched every shot of every day of this exciting President's Cup. IF it was football Sunday I would go back to sleep. I'm very tired from watching all of this golf until 2:00 in the morning each night.

what I learned this week:

- The USA does have some real good young golfers and should have solid ryder/president cup teams in the future.

- Dustin Johnson has a weak game around the greens. His weakness was really exposed this week.

- What the heck happened with Phil during the first 15 holes yesterday. That was the worst golf I ever saw Phil play. I hope everything is all well with the family and personal life. His head just seemed way out of it for a good portion of the match. His lackluster uninspired early play and not seeing him or Amy after the cup was won makes me wonder if they he had to quickly return to the states. Again, I hope all is well.

- Tiger's game is ready for him to start winning. Despite his 2-3 record during the cup, his game for the most part was his old A-/B+ game. He ball striking was well above average all week, his short game was above average. He putted well all week, just not dropping the first 3 days. Then Sunday they dropped and dropped and dropped.
Like him or hate, I give him props for putting in the work to make Freddie's decision to pick him so early look good. It was reported that leading up to the cup, Tiger was playing 36-54 holes everyday to get his game back up to elite standards.

-I did not see any questionable acts of bad sportsmanship, everyone played the way these matches were intended to play.

-Kudos to Royal Melbourne golf club. that is one bastard of a course, regardless of the wind.

agree on all points......

I'll add that it was great to see the "consumate pro" Furyk back to his regular self...he played great.

I made a prediction weeks ago that Tiger would do what he did....he validated Couple's belief in him by playing as well as he did. His 2-3 record was not all him. He had some partners early that did not play up to "par"...notably Stricker the first day. He was not playing well and put Tiger is some God awful spots that were difficult to score from.

I, too, watched damm nnear every shot and was impressed with the whole thing.
