The Barclays
The playoffs kick off this week just outside the Big Apple. This year the playoffs start off with the top 125 players in the FedEx points standings, next week it'll be the top 100, followed by the top 70 and then the top 30 make it to Atlanta.
The Barclays this year is taking place at Ridgewood Country Club in Paramus NJ. It was also held at this course 2 years ago. Traditionally, this tournament took place at the beautiful Westchester, and there is talk of moving it back there for 2012. Ridgewood is an older course, but based on the results of a couple years ago when Vijay won it in a 3-way playoff, dont expect very many low scores this week. SLOHE won this last year when it was in Jersey City, and the winner gets $1,350,000. And unless I miscounted (a strong possibility since I just quickly scrolled through it), only 35 of the golfers for this are unlisted. Jeff Overton is the highest ranked of the unlisteds at #6, that rank surprised me quite a bit since he has no wins but 6 top 10s do help. And Im definitely cheering for DUVDA
