The Open Championship & True South Classic
The Open Championship is being held at Royal Lytham & St Annes, a course that was very near the Irish Sea just outside of Blackpool. A couple of the holes are very open if a breeze from the sea kicks up, though a quick look at the forecast shows that might only happen on Sunday. This is a true links course, and one that hasnt seen any significant changes since 1919. The course punishes those who cant hit the fairways, and so long hitters dont have an advantage here. This will be the 11th Open it has hosted, along with 2 Ryder Cups. DUVDA was the champ the last time it was held at this course back in 2001, while CLADA is the defending champ from last year. The winner will receive 900,000 pounds (which google tells me is about $1.4mil
