BMW Championship
The top 70 in the points standing head on to Crooked Stick Golf Course in suburban Indianapolis this week. Traditionally this event is held at Cog Hill in Chicago, but since the Ryder Cup this year is at nearby Medina, tournament officials here thought it'd be better to have this tournament away from Chicago.
Im not familiar with this course, so dont know what to expect for scoring, but from reading up on it Id expect scores like what we saw a couple weeks ago at Bethpage. This course is perhaps best known for hosting the 1991 PGA Championship which John Daly won and launched him into golf stardom. ROSJU won this tournament last year at Cog Hill, and the winner gets $1.44mil. And a heads up for those who buy and hold through the weekend, there is no cut. Also, next week there will be no tournament as they have a week off between this event and the Tour Championship.
