then the fixes worked just fine, yes? Well, other than you needing to sell some Truex to make buys later....and selling some, not all, shares can be an issue in our system?
just unfortunate I didn't catch my decimal issue when I scanned my divi list before divis hit yesterday

what possible reason is there to sell Truex?(other than needing the $$$$$) That decision will not be made til late Sunday afternoon. If he places again....how is it fair that I have $450K of his stock? This really screws up my port with a negative cash value of over 140K. Figuring out how much to sell of him is going to really tax my ancient brain.

Well, you weren't supposed to have $450,000 worth, yes? It should have been less than half that (if I hadn't screwed up and he got a 270% divi!). I guess I didn't expect any small port to have kept him....so in another way, you could say it's not fair you DO have that much tied up in him.

Won't the fact that rich and I held him, and he's 34% of port, be unfair to those who sold if he a buy this weekend.

I guess it depends on how good a buy he is...

If you adjust share price to create the fix why doesn't the port reflect that?

So Truex would be 9.5% higher than predivi and not $6522 a share

I can't simply adjust share price because that would affect ALL shareholders.
You're likely holding 200,000 shares in your TV port.

IF I adjusted share price, I'd have to add equivalent cash for all shareholders.
Possible, but nowhere near simple.

OR, since 'fair' holdings for ports your size would be in the $127,000 range, we adjust your holdings.

If things had happened as they should have, his share price was just short of $1700 at divi time ($1698). A 9% divi would have put the price at around $1851. You an Rich have 69 shares, which would have had a value of $127765 post-divi. Sadly it appears 3 others held him in NASCAR only ports.

To have that dollar amount in holdings, you'd have 19.5ish shares instead of 69.

If someone has a better, more fair idea than my 'selling' some of those shares, let me know. There are no holdings in monthly or quarterly, TV doesn't have this issue, so it's strictly these 5 ports.
